MindLab48, our annual conference for Everything DiSC® and The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™ was held in San Antonio, Texas last week. There was quite a bit of news, which we are happy to share.
An "Update of EPIC Proportions"
By EPIC, we mean "Electronic Profile Information Center" because this update isn't actually all that huge. But it does offer some needed features. First, the site will become responsive, meaning that it will support phone and tablet screens. There are some other time-savers, one of which is a new search screen when adding respondents to a group report. Before you would have to know what assessment they completed in order to find them and you would have to add people from, say, Workplace and Management separately. With the updated search facility, you will be able to find a record from any Everything DiSC report from one screen. Look for this to go live around March 23rd, 2016.
Third Beta for MyEverythingDiSC.com
The follow-up website, MyEverythingDiSC.com will enter its third beta next month. The new features are still under wraps, but we’re excited to see this free resource become more and more powerful. We’ll be sure and update you when we know more.
New The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Product
Later this summer, we will have a new version of Five Behaviors, Instead of "powered by Everything DiSC", it will be “powered by All Types”. In this version, the DiSC information is replaced by “All Types”, which will be recognizable to those familiar with Myers-Briggs. We’ll have more details on this soon.
Also, it was announced that the Five Behaviors Progress Report, which is usually given as a six-month checkup, will now be free! It was formerly 25 credits per teammate, so that’s quite a break!
New Selection Tool Coming!
We were given a sneak peek at a new selection tool that we will be representing this year. While many people try and use DiSC for hiring, it has never been validated for that purpose and it's easy for candidates to "game" the assessment. This new assessment will be formally validated for use in selection and was built to detect "distortion"--in other words the inconsistencies that arise when people try to adjust their answers for what they think would be appropriate.
And this tool will go beyond selection: with a single assessment, up to nine different reports can be generated--many of which are useful for onboarding and development as well as selection.
We will be beta testing the new product with a few of our customers, beginning late April or early May. We are hoping for a launch of the final product in the 4th quarter of 2016. If you want to be kept abreast of the progress of this new tool, join the email list below and we'll keep you posted. We won't bombard your inbox with a ton of messages and rest assured you can unsubscribe at any time.
That's it for news from the conference this year. Watch this space for more information about these exciting changes.!
